ABOUT D A ARLAUS, THE GUITAR TECHNIQUE TUTOR

I have played and taught guitar in the New York Metropolitan area since 1971. My formal training has included invitations to study with such luminary guitarists as: James Roberson, Stephen Bell, Anthony Uzzeo, Carlos Barbosa-Lima and Maestro Andres Segovia.

During the mid 1970's, I developed my total music method for guitar. It stands alone among other the guitar methods in use, because it prescribes sight reading, ear training, technique and theory tailored to the individual guitarist's need. The result is extraordinary students of all playing levels who understand their instruments and play far beyond the level of students who have played for a comparable time with "conventional methods."

The www.guitartechniquetutor.com web site grew from the ever-increasing number requests for private lessons and my awareness of the general decline in the quality of guitar instruction available to many aspiring guitar students.
